Today I would like to present a wedding dress wore by a Danish Queen Mary (May 14th, 2004).
The dress was a mother-of-pearl-coloured silk satin gown made of twenty-eight meters of fabric wih a scoop neckline, three- quarter sleeves and marked box pleats on the skirt.. The plain skirt is featuring on-hundred-year-old lace. Mary's lace veil had already been worn by Queen Margrethe and her female ancestors at their weddings. Mary's wedding tiara was a gift from Queen Mergrethe and Prince Henrik.
The dress was created by a Danish fashion designer Uffe Frank.
